ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The University of Hawaii track and field saw another school record fall this season as senior
Teuila Gardner broke the 600-meter run record on Friday at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic in Albuquerque, N.M.
Gardner backed up a strong first indoor meet with a school record 1 minute, 35.57 second time in her first 600 of the year. Gardner also set a season record in the high jump at 1.57 meters to finish in a tie for fourth place with teammate junior
Hannah Gaskins.
Also, on Friday junior
Kristen LaCosse finished 12th in the long jump with a jump of 5.67 meters and followed it up with a 16th place finish in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.70 seconds.
The Rainbow Wahine 1,600-meter relay team on Saturday finished with a time of 3:53.42.
Freshman
Jessica Eagle had a nice sprinting day with a seventh-place finish in her division of the 200-meter dash. Eagle ran 25.82 in the sprint event.
The Bows will head back to Nampa, Idaho for the Boise State Challenge Feb. 14-15.
