HONOLULU – Former University of Hawai'i quarterback
Cole McDonald will participate in the upcoming NFL Scouting Combine, which will take place at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind.
McDonald is the first UH quarterback to compete at the Combine since Colt Brennan in 2008. Last season, linebacker
Jahlani Tavai was invited to the Combine however he did not participate in the on-field workouts.
The quarterback portion of the Combine will run Feb. 23-27 with on-field workouts scheduled for the 27
th. Participants will be measured, conduct medical exams, and interviewed by NFL personnel in addition to various testing, workouts, and drills.
Last month, McDonald announced his decision to forgo his senior season and apply for the NFL Draft. The La Mirada, Calif., native finished his career fourth all-time on the school's passing yardage (8,032) and passing touchdowns (70) lists. This past season, he led the Rainbow Warriors to a 10-win season and was selected Most Valuable Player of the SoFi Hawai'i Bowl after UH's 38-34 victory in which he threw for a career-high 492 yards.
