HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i baseball team scored 10-plus runs for the second straight game as the Rainbow Warriors beat North Dakota State 11-3 on Sunday at Les Murakami Stadium. Junior shortstop
Kole Kaler batted in three-plus teammates for the second time in as many games with four RBI on Sunday.

The junior from Las Vegas, Nev., threw 4.0 scoreless innings of relief work, struck out seven batters and did not issue a walk on his way to earning his first D-I win in his Rainbow Warrior debut.
Kaler was a home run shy of the cycle and scored a team-high three runs in the win. Sophomore right fielder

Daylen Calicdan also had triples.
Hawai'i got off to a hot start in the second inning by scoring five runs in the frame, all with two outs.

Adam Fogel scored the first run after reaching via a hit by pitch, moving to second via a wild pitch and then to third when sophomore catcher
Dallas Duarte reached on a throwing error by the NDSU third baseman. Duarte moved into scoring position via the second wild pitch of the inning. Junior center fielder
Matt Wong laced a double off the second base bag which caromed into shallow right-center field allowing both Fogel and Duarte to score.
Scott then tripled into the right field corner and Kaler singled to left to score Scott. Kaler advanced to second on a throwing error by the Bison's left fielder but didn't stay there long as redshirt junior third baseman
Dustin Demeter doubled just inside the first base bag into the corner.
NDSU scored their first run in the fourth inning on a single, a walk, a stolen base and a double. Two ground outs pushed two more runs across in the inning.
In the bottom of the fifth inning, a bases loaded pop-up to second base in shallow right field by Fogel scored Kaler from third on a sacrifice fly to push the Bows' lead to 6-3.
Hawai'i made a statement in the sixth inning by putting another 5-spot on the board to make the score 11-3.
Freshman second baseman
Stone Miyao led off with a walk, Duarte got hit by a pitch, a fielder's choice put Wong on first for Scott who also walked. With the bases loaded Kaler snuck a line drive inside the first base bag and pushed it into his second triple of the series. Demeter lined a single off the NDSU pitcher to score Kaler and was plated on Calicdan's triple into right-center field.
Junior
Calvin Turchin closed the game with a perfect ninth inning on seven total pitches.
The Bows will go for a series win Monday at 1:05 p.m. against the Bison at Les Murakami Stadium.
