Game Notes-
• UH enters Thursday's game with a five-game win streak, its most productive streak since 2016 when the 'Bows ran off seven in a row during conference play from Jan. 28 to Feb. 25. The 2016 season was also the last time UH won the Big West Conference tournament.
• The longest win streak for the Rainbow Wahine under head coach
Laura Beeman was set in 2015 when her squad won 15 consecutive games leading to Big West Conference season title. In terms of program history, the mark for most successive wins sits at 19, a mark accomplished twice by legendary head coach Vince Goo in 1993 and 1998.
• UH is in a comfortable spot in terms of the standings at No. 2. The 'Bows are a half a game behind first-place UC Davis, while they are a game and a half up on No. 3 Long Beach State.
• During the win streak, the last four games (UC Irvine, Long Beach State, Cal Poly, UC Santa Barbara) have all been decided by double-digits.
• Senior guard and two-time Big West Conference Play of the Week
Julissa Tago has been one of the vital difference-makers for the 'Bows during their recent stretch. She has scored 10 or more points in 10 consecutive games, including five 20-plus point performances.
• UH opened the conference season on the road at CSUN and UC Davis, dropping both games and being held to under 55 points in both. Since those two games, the 'Bows have gone 7-1.
• In the prior matchup with CSUN, sophomore forward
Myrrah Joseph led the 'Bows with 11 points, while Tago accumulated 10. UH held a lead of 12 points in the second quarter, but the CSUN defense chipped away at the lead, holding UH to just 22 points scored in the second half.
LOVE THE OFFENSE, RESPECT THE DEFENSE
After 10 games played against conference opponents, UH sits at No. 1 in the Big West in scoring at 66.60 points per game. On the flip side, UH is only allowing 58.10 points per game ranking fourth in the conference. As a result, when combing the two, UH is also No. 1 in scoring margin at +8.50.
EVERY SHOT IS A HIGH PERCENTAGE SHOT
Remarkably the 'Bows are not only one best shooting teams in terms of field goals percentage, but they're also the best from long-distance. On the season, UH is hitting .409 percent from the floor for No. 2 in the Big West, right behind conference leader UC Davis at .439 percent. Over the last few weeks, they've climbed the rankings in three-point field percentage from No. 4 to No. 1, surpassing the Aggies at .356 percent.
MARCHING TOWARDS 1,000 AND THE PURSUIT OF HISTORY
UH has six games remaining on the regular-season schedule, as it stands Tago is at exactly 900 points, she'll have to average just over 16 points a game to become the 22nd player in program history to accomplish the milestone of 1,000 career points. On top of her scoring ability is Tago's smooth shot from the outside. At 51 made three-pointers this season, Tago is four away from tying Megan Tinnin's single-season record of 55 set back in the 2008-2009 season.
