COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – A total of seven University of Hawai'i football student-athletes were recognized by the Mountain West on the all-conference teams as selected by a panel of media and head coaches.
Linebacker
Darius Muasau was UH's lone recipient on the first team while wide receiver
Calvin Turner and cornerback
Cortez Davis were picked to the second team.

Quentin Frazier, wide receiver
Jared Smart, and defensive lineman
Blessman Ta'ala were named honorable mention.
Nevada quarterback Carson Strong was the league's Offensive Player of the Year; San José State defensive lineman Cade Hall was the Defensive Player of the Year; and Boise State return specialist Avery Williams was the Special Teams Player of the Year. UNLV wide receiver Kyle Williams was named Freshman of the Year and San José State's Brent Brennan was Coach of the Year.
Muasau, a sophomore from 'Ewa Beach, O'ahu, leads the team with 95 tackles, including 8.5 for loss and 3.5 sacks. He ranks No. 1 nationally in solo tackles per game (7.9) and No. 5 in total tackles per game (11.9), both of which tops all Mountain West defenders. In UH's regular season finale against UNLV last Saturday, he recorded a career-high 18 tackles to earn MW Defensive Player of the Week honors.
Turner, a senior from Savannah, Ga., is the team leader in touchdowns scored (9), receiving yards (458), kickoff return yards (220), and all-purpose yards (949). He is also the team's third-leading rusher (271) and averages 10.9 yards per touch. The electrifying Turner has three of the longest plays from scrimmage, including two 70+-yard receptions.
Davis, a senior from Decatur, Ga., earned honorable mention honors a year ago. This season he is the team's best corner and has 29 tackles, including four for loss, and two forced fumbles. He held Nevada's Romeo Doubs, one of the nation's leading receivers, to only one catch for 10 yards.
Cordeiro, a sophomore from Honolulu, has thrown for 1,947 yards and 11 touchdowns and is the team's leading rusher with 450 yards and seven scores. He's completed 61.2 percent of his attempts and averages 299.6 yards of total offense per game. Cordeiro will become the first UH quarterback to lead the team in rushing since Michael Carter in 1991.
Frazier, a senior from San Diego, Calif., has made an immediate impact in his first season at the FBS level after transferring from Division II Azusa Pacific. He ranks third on the team with 40 tackles, including six for loss and one sack. Frazier also leads the team with two interceptions and two fumble recoveries.
Smart, a senior from Dublin, Calif., is the team leader in receptions with 33. After playing wideout a year ago, he moved to inside receiver this season and has 287 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Ta'ala, a junior from Aua, American Samoa, is the leader of the defensive line. He has 19.5 tackles, including 1.5 for loss while making all eight starts. Ta'ala was an honorable mention selection in 2019.
