HONOLULU – The University of Hawai`i sailing team opens the 2020 spring season this weekend hosting the Peter Wenner Rainbow Invite, Jan. 18-19 in its home waters of Ke'ehi Lagoon.
The regatta will feature thirteen schools with both coed and women's teams competing. While the majority of schools hail from the West Coast and the Pacific Coast Sailing Conference, one East Coast team will join the fray in Rutgers.
UH will sail four squads in the regatta with both the coed and women competing. Last season, the UH coed squad won the regatta for the fourth straight time.

Time: All day; first race begins at approximately 10:00 a.m. (weather permitting).
Where: Honolulu Community College Marine Education Center – Ke'ehi Lagoon.
Who: California, Cal Poly, Cal State Channel Islands, Long Beach State, Hawai'i, Rutgers, Oregon, Washington, Western Washington, UC Davis UC Santa Barbara, UC San Diego, and UCLA.
