Game Notes
- Heading into Thursday's action UH has lost four consecutive matches, dating back Sunday, Sept. 8 on the road at North Dakota. Three of the four losses have been decided by one goal, the only exception being against No. 5 UCLA on Sunday, Sept. 22.

- CSUN comes in after dropping back-to-back matches at home against Pepperdine and Denver. Much like UH, those two losses were decided by one goal, each ending in 1-0 shutouts.

- The one goal difference has been a theme for the defensive-minded Rainbow Wahine throughout the 2019 non-conference schedule. Seven of the nine matches were decided by one goal; the only exception were in losses to top 15 opponents, No. 5 UCLA (4-0) and No. 13 USC (3-0).

-Scoring has not been easy to come by for UH as they have only accumulated five goals on the year. The 'Bows are currently tied with UC Riverside for the least amount of goals scored this season within the Big West.

- The rivalry and all-time match up heavily favors CSUN as UH is 4-10-1 against the Matadors. The 2018 campaign provided UH with only its second win in the rivalry since moving back to the Big West Conference in 2012. The only other time the 'Bows took down the Matadors was in 2013 at the Waipi'o Peninsula Soccer Complex.

- Last season's matchup featured its fair share of drama. CSUN scored in 89th minute to force the match into extra time at 1-1. Sarah Lau played the role of hero for UH as she scored off a rebound in the 99th minute for a 2-1 victory.

HIT HER WITH YOUR BEST SHOT: Alexis Mata enters conference play by setting the pace for all goalkeepers with 50 saves. Her career-high in saves was set back in 2017 as a redshirt sophomore with 96. In 2019, she has recorded three shutouts and ranks No. 3 in the Big West with a .781 save percentage.

WRONG SIDE OF HISTORY: After losing the programs top three leading scorers for 2018, the 2019 squad has only been able to score five goals through the first nine matches. The least amount of goals scored in one season for the 'Bows was in the inaugural season of 1994 with 12 in 11 matches. The modern era of UH soccer with 17 or more matches in a season provided a low mark of goals at 15, a line set just two years ago in 2017.
