Game Notes:
  • UH (25-0, 8-0 BWC) enters this week's regular season series finale with a 25-match win streak after a two-match series sweep of No. 3 UC Santa Barbara last week.
  • The Rainbow Warriors, which saw their NCAA-best 74-set win streak snapped last Saturday, has the NCAA's sixth longest win streak at 25 matches. Two wins this week would tie them for fifth with Pepperdine (27 from 1985-86).
  • UH's 25 wins is tied for the third most in program history and two shy of the program record of 27 set in 1996 and 2017.
  • Long Beach State (23-1, 8-0), the defending national champion, is 10-0 at the Walter Pyramid this season. LBSU's lone loss this season occurred March 23 on the road at USC.
  • Last season, UH handed LBSU its only loss, a five-set win in the regular season finale at the Stan Sheriff Center. The Beach won the series opener in five sets, 22-20 in the fifth and later defeated the Warriors in the Big West Tournament title match in Long Beach.
  • LBSU leads the all-time series 45-42.
  • UH and LBSU are two of the three winningest programs over the last five seasons. UH has 111 wins while the Beach has 120.
