Rainbow Wahine Conclude Steve Scott Invitational Action

IRVINE, Calif. - In the final action before the Big West Championships, the University of Hawaiʻi women's track team had one final tune-up at the Steve Scott Invitational, which concluded on Saturday at Anteater Stadium.

On the track, Natasha Currence set a personal record in the 400m, clocking in at 58.13. The junior was also UH's top finisher in the 200m in 26.06. In the 100m, Martina Latting clocked in at 12.23 with Britney Price finishing in 12.78.

The Rainbow Wahine posted a pair of season bests in the 800m courtesy of Danielle Girard (2:17.91) and Olivia Hill (2:22.79).

Over on the field events, Meg Jackson finished with a shot put distance of 12.29m (40'4") for eighth place. In the discus, Kathryn Philpott came up with a distance of 38.53m (126'5") with Brittany Kamau reaching 37.41m (122'9").

Next up for the Rainbow Wahine is the Big West Multi-Event Championships scheduled for May 3-4 in Santa Barbara, Calif.
