HONOLULU--The University of Hawai'i women's tennis team (6-9, 3-2 Big West) will host its final home match of the season on Saturday, April 6 at 11:00 a.m. against UC Santa Barbara (8-6, 2-0 Big West). It will be Senior Day for three Rainbow Wahine--Alzbeta Houbova, Maayan Sela, and Roxanne Resma.

The Rainbow Wahine won all three of their matches this past week, notching victories over Santa Clara, Cal Poly and San Jose State to improve to 6-9 overall. Nikola Dolakova was the only Rainbow Wahine to win all three of her singles matches--clinching both the Santa Clara and the San Jose State matches with three-set victories. She improved to 7-12 overall and 6-8 in dual match play. Alzbeta Houbova, Petra Melounova, Michelle Pits and Roxanne Resma all earned two singles wins apiece this past weekend to help lead the 'Bows to their recent win streak. 

UH's No. 1 and former 100th-ranked Melounova knocked off a third ranked opponent this month to start last week's action, upsetting No. 86 Maddie Pohhoff in a match that ended in a third-set super tiebreaker. Melounova has won her last 10-of-11 singles matches and on Tuesday rose 32 slots to enter this week ranked at No. 62 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings. She is now 11-2 in dual matches this season.
