Game Notes:
- UH (25-2) is the No. 2 seed in this week's Big West Tournament and will receive a bye into the Friday's semifinals.
- Hawai'i will face either third-seeded UC Irvine (17-10) or sixth-seeded UC San Diego (7-19). UH swept the season series with both teams — both on the road — winning all four matches in straight sets.
- The seedings were exactly the same in last year's inaugural Big West Tournament in Long Beach. No. 2 seed UH defeated No. 3 seed UC Irvine in the semis before falling to top-seeded Long Beach State in the finals.
- Hawai'i is coming off a pair of five-set losses to Long Beach State last weekend in Long Beach to close out the regular season. UH saw its 25-match win streak come to an end in the series opener. The Warriors led both matches 2-1 before the Beach rallied winning in the fifth, 15-13 and 15-10, respectively.
- UH is 14-0 at the Stan Sheriff Center this season, winning 13 of those matches in straight sets.
- UH leads the all-time series with UC Irvine, 35-22, and has won eight of the last nine match-ups since 2015.
- UH's 56 all-time wins over UCSD is the most against a single opponent in program history and has won the last 13 meetings in the series.
