SANTA CRUZ, Calif. – The University of Hawai'i men's golf team completed the second round of the 73
rdWestern Intercollegiate Tuesday at the Pasatiempo Golf Club. The Rainbow Warriors shot a 371 with all six golfers carding 76 or better.
As a team, UH shot 1-over par over its final six holes after beginning the back nine at 11-over. Heading into the back, the Warriors got off to a strong start at just 3-over par, which included 2-under by junior
Trevor Hirata.

Justin Ngan paced Hawai'i with 3-over 73 on Day 2 of the tournament. Kaneko (76-73) is the top UH golfer on the leaderboard at 9-over 149 and a tie for 57
thplace.

th) is two strokes back at 151 while a trio of Warriors are tied for 69
that 152 – Hirata (77-75), Ngan (79-73), and sophomore

Cole Yoshida (83-74) improved nine strokes from his first round score with a second round 74 and is in 82
ndplace at 157.
Host San Jose State continues to lead the team standings at 1-under 699 after a second round 353. No. 16 Stanford (700) is one stroke back followed by No. 11 California and No. 6 USC (705).
Individually, Stanford's Isaiah Salinda holds the lead at 8-under 132 while four golfers are three strokes back at 5-under.
The tournament concludes on Wednesday with the third and final round. The Golf Channel will provide live coverage from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. HT.
