Game Notes:
  • UH (17-0) will travel to Provo, Utah this week for the BYU Invitational featuring the eighth-ranked Cougars of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation, McKendree of the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Associaion, and Princeton of the Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association.
  • UH extended its NCAA-record set win streak to 51 following a pair of Big West Conference sweeps of CSUN last week in Honolulu.
  • BYU (11-6) is coming off a pair of upset victories at home last week over No. 4 UCLA in five and No. 6 Pepperdine in four. The Cougars are 9-1 at Smith Fieldhouse this season.
  • Idle last week, Princeton (10-9) is 8-1 in the EIVA and lead the conference standings. McKendree (9-8) has won its last three including its lone match last week in straight sets over Lindenwood.
  • UH is 20-41 all-time versus BYU and 1-0 versus both Princeton and McKendree.
  • UH has lost its last 15 matches against BYU in Smith Fieldhouse dating back to 2005. UH has only three wins in 28 all-time meetings in Provo, the last occurring in 2003.
  • UH is two wins shy of the program's all-time longest win streak of 19 set in 2006.
