The University of Hawai'i football program will hold its annual Pro Day for draft eligible players Tuesday, March 19 in conjunction with UCLA's Pro Day at the Westwood campus. A total eight former Rainbow Warriors will participate in front of scouts and player personnel from nearly every NFL team.

The player garnering the most interest from scouts is Tavai, who participated in the recent NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis. In four seasons at UH, Inglewood, Calif., native finished second all-time in tackles (391) and would have threatened the record if not for an injury that cut short his senior season. Tavai was selected to the watch list for both the Bronko Nagurski Award and Butkus Award.

Ursua led the nation in receiving touchdowns with 16 in 2018 and was a semifinalist for the Fred Biletnikoff Award. The Kailua-Kona, Hawai'i native ranked fifth nationally in receiving yards (1,343) and eighth in receiving yards per game (103.3) and was picked to the Associated Press and USA Today Mid-season All-America second team.

Each participant will be put through various skills tests, which are broken up into weight room, field workouts, and position workouts.

Last season, UH has held its Pro Day with Azusa Pacific on the APU campus. Hawai'i has traditionally held its Pro Day on the West Coast in closer proximity to pro scouts.

The NFL Draft is Thursday, April 25 through Saturday, April 27 in Nashville, Tenn., with the with the first round taking place April 25, followed by the second and third rounds on April 26 and Rounds 4-7 on April 27.Â

The last UH player drafted was Joey Iosefa in 2015. Last season, a total of five former Rainbow Warriors were on active NFL rosters. In addition, two were on practice squads and two more were on reserve/injured lists.
