Rainbow Wahine Open Hornet Invitational

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The University of Hawaiʻi women's track and field kicked off action at the Hornet Invitational on Friday at Sacramento State University's Hornet Stadium.
 
Jada Pierce came up with a hammer throw distance of 46.25m (151'9") on her first attempt on the day to earn seventh overall. She was followed by Meg Jackson in 10th with a mark of 45.01m (147'8"). The mark is a personal best for Jackson.
 
On the track, senior Raion Black ran the 11th fastest 200m time in the field with a time of 24.88. The time is her personal best versus NCAA competition. In a separate heat, Martina Latting clocked in at 25.46 in the 200m.
 
Action at the Hornet Invitational will conclude on Saturday, March 16.
