HONOLULU—The University of Hawai'i men's tennis team improved to 5-7 with a win over Oral Roberts on Friday afternoon at the UH Tennis Complex.
 
The Rainbow Warriors earned the doubles to take the early 1-0 lead. UH's No. 3 duo of Asad Siyyid and Chia-Hua defeated Kenneth Boykin and Eddy Leardini, 6-3. Hawai'i's No. 2 team of Blaz Seric and Simao Telo Alves then secured the point with a 6-2 win over Marcello Moreira and Andrew Russo.
 
In singles, the 'Bows rolled on winning the first f ive matches in a row en route to the win. Lucas Labrunie started things off with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Boykin on the No. 2 court. No. 6 Asad Siyyid then gave UH a 3-0 lead with a 6-4, 6-0 win over Eddy Leardini. Hawai'i's No. 3 Blaz Seric then clinched the match dominating Andrew Russo, 6-2, 6-0. UH's No. 1 Andre Ilagan kept things going with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Barnabas Koncz. Tristan Martins followed with a hard-fough 7-5, 6-3 win over Nikola Boskov at No. 5.
 
Hawai'i will play another dual match on Saturday, March 16 against Grand Canyon beginning at 12:00 p.m. at the UH Tennis Complex.
