GAME NOTES

• UH enters play on Wednesday in a tie for the No. 4 position of the Big West Conference standings with CSUN at 5-4 with seven games remaining on the schedule.

• Recently UH split a road trip with a 70-68 win at UC Irvine, followed by a loss at Long Beach State, 56-40. The 'Bows have gone 4-2 over their last six games, including a three-game road win streak before falling to LBSU.

• Freshman forward Myrrah Joseph showcased her potential for the first time this season with 15 points, nine rebounds, and three assists in the loss at LBSU, all three career-highs. Joseph clocked in 28 minutes while working in the paint, but most importantly stayed out of foul trouble.

• For the second time this season redshirt sophomore forward Amy Atwell sparked the offense for a team-high 19 points in the win over UC Irvine. Throughout the season, seven different players have led the team in scoring with Atwell leading the way twice, each time off the bench.

• The previous meeting on Jan. 26 between UH and UC Santa Barbara went to the 'Bows with an outstanding defensive game. The Gauchos were held to just 35 points and went 0-for-16 from three-point territory. It was the lowest point total by an opponent in over 30 years, when UH held Sonoma State to just 34 points on Nov. 25, 1985.

• It'll be just a week turnaround since UH and LBSU last played on Feb. 9 as the series is now tied at 19-19. The loss at LBSU was one of the Bows' worst shooting performances of the season at 26 percent from the floor and 14 percent from beyond the arc.

WINNING RECORD SINCE DECEMBER
The start of the season wasn't friendly to the Rainbow Wahine as they started 1-7 including the first four games being decided by single digits and the first two by one point. Since the start of the December UH was worked to turn the season around by going 8-6 over the last two and a half months.

RECIPE FOR WINNING
When devising a checklist of successful habits for the 'Bows, the list is as follows- lead at the half, score over 70 points, and shoot more free throws than their opponents. UH is 7-1 this season leading at halftime, 3-1 when scoring over 70 points, and 8-4 when shooting more free throws than their foes.
