Former Hawai'I infielder, Kolten Wong, won his first-ever Gold Glove award in the MLB, as announced on Nov. 3. Wong, who helped the St. Louis Cardinals to the NLCS of the MLB Postseason.
 
In 2019, Wong committed just nine errors at second base in 147 regular season games with a fielding percentage of .987. On top of playing stellar defense, Wong posted career-highs in the batter's box as well. Wong hit .285 in 478 at-bats, worked 47 walks, slugged .423 and swiped 24 bases.
 
The first-round draft pick ranks fourth all-time in UH history in batting average (.358), ranks third in slugging (.563) and ranks second in home runs (25). As a freshman, Wong committed just four errors, and finished his career with just 29 errors.
 
Wong made highlight reel plays at second base throughout 2019, but the second play in this thread brought national notoriety to the sure-gloved Hawaiian.

Wong, who just turned 29 in October, has two more years left on his contract with the Cardinals.
