Hawai‘i Heads to Texas A&M for the Art Adamson Invitational

Honolulu—The University of Hawai'i swimming and diving team will be action with the Art Adamson Invitational in College Station, Texas, on the campus of Texas A&M. The meet will begin on Thursday and carry over into Saturday.

All three days of events will be streamed live on the ESPN app, and the invite finals will be broadcasted on SEC Network Plus. There will also be live updated stats through each event.

Notes

•  The Art Adamson Invitational will be the first event of the month for the entire swimming and diving team. The last time UH competed as a whole was in Tucson, Ariz. with a tri-meet featuring Arizona and Denver.

• This season marks the third consecutive season UH has traveled to College Station, Texas, for a meet. Each year the trip has been scheduled in the early part of the season, preparing UH and measuring them against top programs in the country. The Art Adamson Invitational has been a yearly meet for the Aggies over the last 20 years.

• Other teams competing in the event are Stanford, USC, LSU, and of course, Texas A&M.

• Entering the meet, senior All-American Phoebe Hines ranks No. 6 in the country in the 1650 free at 16:42.13.

• Senior Olli Kokko comes in at No. 22 in the country with 100 breast, clocking in at 54.64.

• The men's 400 medley relay teams rank at No. 7 in the nation with a time of 3:15.56, while the 200 free relay teams come in at No. 21 at 1:21.15.

• Sophomore Max Burman will look to keep adding to his resume after a strong showing at the tri-meet at Arizona in both the one-meter and three-meter dives. He'll be going up against stellar competition as the Aggies house two divers in the top 10 rankings of three-meter and one in the one-meter.

Ivy Davis has been one of the more consistent divers on the women's side, and she'll look to continue it, but the emergence of junior Victoria Moretti and senior Jami Stone will add to the 'Bows success.
