Rainbow Sailors Place Fourth At PCCSC Regatta

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The University of Hawaii Rainbow Wahine sailing team closed out is fall schedule with a fourth-place finish at the PCSCC Fall Championship, Oct. 16-17, in Southern California.
 
A total of 24 races in three divisions were completed over the weekend. Host UC Santa Barbara captured the 21-team regatta by a 15-point margin over second-place  and Stanford.  UH totaled 126 points – 49 in the A division, 29 points in the B division and 48 in the C division.
 
Patrick Wilkinson and Frances Tarpey-Schwed sailed for UH in the A division, Bastien Rasse and Devon Stapleton competed in the B division, while  Owen Lahr, Chloe Long and Megan Lucas sailed  in the C division.
 
The Rainbows will next hit the water for the spring season, beginning with the Peter Wenner Rainbow Invitational, Jan. 18-19, at Keehi Lagoon.
