The Hawai'i cross country team will head to the mainland for the final time in 2019 and compete in the NCAA West Regional at the Colfax Golf Course in Colfax, Wash on Friday.

The Rainbow Wahine are coming off a near seventh-place finish at the Big West Championships two weeks ago and are looking to end the year strong with fast times in chilly eastern Washington. 

At the Big West Championships in Riverside, Calif., freshman Rebecca DeKay and graduate transfer Shannon McClish pushed the Bows to their best finish since 2015. DeKay and McClish have paced the Wahine in five of the six meets this year with McClish earning the program's first Big West Athlete of the Week honor since 2016.

Last year, the only returning Hawai'i finisher, junior Sienna Santiago finished second for the Bows in the 6k in 23 minutes 17.4 seconds at the Haggin Oaks Golf Complex in Sacramento, Calif.
