Women's Tennis Host Rainbow Wahine Invite

HONOLULU--The University of Hawai'i women's tennis team returns home to host its final fall tournament of 2019--the Rainbow Wahine Invite. Both CSUN and Hawai'i Pacific will be competing in the three-day tournament which runs from Friday, Nov. 1 - Sunday, Nov. 3. All matches are scheduled to be played at the UH Tennis Complex.

No. 95 Bojana Markovic had a strong showing at the ITA Southwest Regionals, winning her first four singles matches in the main draw before falling to the top seeded Jada Hart of UCLA in her final match. No. 33 Petra Melounova has been facing elite competition after garnering All-America honors to end her junior season. She opened her senior season at the prestigious ITA Masters tournament with a straight set win. She also won her first match in the second round at the ITA Southwest Regionals before falling in the third round. UH sophomore transfer Satsuki Takamura most recently won her first two matches before falling in the ITA Southwest Regionals. And although freshman Madison Kim dropped a three-set match to begin her play in the Regionals, she bounced back to win a pair of consolation matches to round out the week.
