The University of Hawai'i men's volleyball team will head to southern California this week for several fall exhibition matches against its Big West Conference rivals including two match-ups against defending national champion Long Beach State.
 
The trip begins in Santa Barbara, Calif., against UC Santa Barbara, Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. On Thursday, the Warriors will face UC Irvine at 7:00 p.m., at the Bren Center, site of this season's Big West Tournament. Tickets for the UCI match can be purchased here.
 
On Friday, UH will take on CSUN at 4:00 p.m. in Northridge, Calif., before a full day of volleyball on Saturday that includes two matches against the Beach (10:00 a.m. & 3:00 p.m.) and another versus USC (11:45 a.m.). All three matches on Saturday will take place on the LBSU campus.
 
The Rainbow Warriors will take a 17-member squad, which includes returning All-Americans Rado Pararpunov, Patrick Gasman and Gage Worsley along with starting outside hitter Colton Cowell. Newcomers Guilherme Voss, Chaz Galloway and Dimitrios Mouchlias will make their debuts for Hawai'i.
 
UH returns 10 lettermen from a squad that finished as national runner-up to LBSU last season. The 2019 Warriors posted a program-best 28 wins and captured the program's first conference title, winning the Big West Tournament in Honolulu. During the memorable season, UH also set a new NCAA record with a 74-set win streak by winning its first 24 matches in straight-sets. 
 
Head coach Charlie Wade enters his 11^th season at the helm. He has led the Warriors to three NCAA appearances in the last five seasons and eight total postseason appearances.
