HONOLULU— The University of Hawai'i cross country team is back home to compete in its third and final meet on the island and fifth race of the season when they take part in the Hawai'i Pacific Invitational Saturday morning at the Kahuku Golf Course.
Last weekend, the Rainbow Wahine capped off a successful 6k race finishing 31
st overall at the Capital Cross Challenge in Sacramento, Calif. The 'Bows were led by graduate student
Shannon McClish for the second consecutive meet and third overall this season. The Morro Bay, Calif. native came down the chute 58
th overall and set the seventh best 6k time (21:41.4) in program history.
Rounding out the scoring five were a quartet of freshmen, including

Sophia Lodigiani (196
th, 23:00.3),
Sarriah Brown (272
nd, 24:00.5) and
Anna Backus (277
th, 24:09.2).
During last season's HPU Invitational, UH used a balanced attack, with the scoring five finishing 4-6-8-9-11 to place second overall. Hawai'i totaled 38 points with an average 5k time of 20:12.
