SUNNYVALE-- With a two-week rest, the University of Hawai'i cross country team put together its best 6-kilometer race this season, placing 23
rd at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational in Sunnyvale, Calif., on Saturday morning. The Rainbow Wahine totaled an average 6k time of 22:36.52, its lowest mark of the season.

Shannon McClish finished first for UH and 77
th overall, coming down the chute with a time of 21:53.5. The Morro Bay, Calif. native has finished as the top UH runner in every meet competed in this season (4).

Not far behind,
Rebecca DeKay continued her strong freshman campaign finishing second for Hawai'i and 87
th overall, chipping a time of 21:59.6, while notching a new 6k PR by nearly 55 seconds.

Sophia Lodigiani raced to another UH top five finish, placing third for the Rainbow Wahine and 158
th overall (22:57.7).Â

Sarriah Brown finished 170
th (23:05.9) and 171
st (23:08.9), respectively. Brown, a native of Las Vegas, Nev., also secured a new 6k PR, beating her old mark by 10 seconds.
