Women's Track and Field Unveils 2019 Schedule

HONOLULU – University of Hawai'i women's track and field coach Tim Boyce released the 2019 schedule, complete with three home meets at the Clarence T.C. Ching Athletic Complex.

"We're happy with the 2019 competition schedule," Boyce said. "We have added a few Sunrise meets back to the schedule. We've tried to put together a schedule emphasizing the outdoor season to provide our best opportunity to succeed at the Big West Championships as a team. Returning to many familiar venues and adding the UC San Diego meet gives us a great schedule for the 2019 campaign."

The Rainbow Wahine will kick off the 2019 slate, as well as the outdoor portion of the schedule, with Sunrise Meets on campus (Jan. 12; March 9). UH is also set to host the two-day Rainbow Relays March 22-23.

The season opening home action on Jan. 12 will be followed by three-consecutive trips to Seattle for meets at the University of Washington during the indoor season.

The Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Indoor Championships are slated for Feb. 22-23 in Seattle where UH will look to build on its 13th-place finish from a year ago.

All of the road outdoor meets on the 2019 schedule will take place in the state of California beginning with the Hornet Invitational set for March 15-16 at Sacramento State University.

The 'Bows will split their team on two occasions during the outdoor season. During a trip to the Bay Area on March 28-30, UH will look to have entries at the SF State Distance Carnival and the Stanford Invitational.

A busy weekend in Southern California will include the Bryan Clay Invitational & Multi in Azusa (April 18-19), Mt. SAC Relays in Torrance (April 18-19), as well as the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate (April 18) and the Beach Invitational (April 19-20) in Long Beach.

The outdoor season leads up to the Big West Championships in Santa Barbara, Calif. The multi events will take place May 3-4 with the rest of the Championships scheduled for the following weekend.
