HONOLULU— As announced by the Big West Conference offices on Monday, senior guard
Tia Kanoa was named the Player of the Week following the University of Hawai'i women's basketball victory over UC Davis on Saturday.
Kanoa registered 15 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists as the Rainbow Wahine (5-10, 1-1) notched their first conference win of the season over the defending Big West season champions. The Honolulu, O'ahu native controlled the pace of the 'Bows' offense throughout her team-high 37 minutes of action, but her most crucial impact came in the fourth quarter.
