Rainbow Wahine Finish 14th At ICSA National Semifinals

NORFOLK, Va. – The University of Hawai'i women's sailing team concluded its 2017-18 campaign with a 14th-place finish at the 2018 ICSA Sperry Women's National Semifinals off the waters of the Old Dominion Sailing Center.
 
After finishing the first day of sailing in 17th place, the Rainbow Wahine were able to move up three spots on day two. But it wasn't nearly enough to make the nine-team cutoff for advancing to the finals. UH finished with 303 points, with ninth-place Penn picking up the last spot in the finals with 211 points.
 
The B team found its groove with top-tier finishes in four of its final six races. Annika Garrett, Danielle Ahir, and Megan Zamzow guided UH's B team to 14th (145 points) while Caitlin Schadt Jessica Lawler, Megan Lucas sailled in the A division (15th, 158 points)
