LOS ANGELES – Sophomore high jumper
Lily Lowe closed off a fantastic weekend of performances to lead the University of Hawai'i track and field team as the Rainbow Wahine capped their fourth meet in three days on Saturday.

Competing in the final day of the Mt. SAC Relays as El Camino College's Murdock Stadium on Saturday, Lowe set a new career high jump mark, hitting 6-0 (1.83m) on her seventh jump to finish fifth overall and third among collegiate performers in the renowned annual meet.

Lowe elevated two inches above her then-season-best jump from Thursday that earned her victory at the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate in Long Beach. The new mark also moves her into second among Big West performers and a tie for fifth in the NCAA West Region.

Across town in the final day at Jack Rose Stadium for the Beach Invitational, the 4x100m relay squad of
Charlie Poretti,
Raion Black,
Natasha Currence and
Britney Price finished with a time of 48.29. The quartet also recorded a time of 47.93 at the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate, producing the top UH time since the 2014 season.

Black led the Rainbow Wahine in the 100m with a wind-aided 12.38, also her best time since the 2014 season. Price also recorded her second 12.40 of the weekend. Currence was the top UH performer in the 200m with a career-best 25.93, ahead of Poretti's career-best 26.20.

The Rainbow Wahine have one more regular season meet remaining in 2018, with the Steve Scott Invitational coming up next week at UC Irvine's Anteater Stadium. The Big West Multi-Event Championships kick off May 4-5 in Northridge and the main Big West Championships follow on May 11-12, also in Northridge.
