SACRAMENTO, Calif.—The University of Hawai'i men's tennis team (0-8, 0-0 Big West) are staying on the mainland this week for a second tournament. The Rainbow Warriors will compete in the eight-team Golden State Invitational Tournament which is hosted by both Sacramento State and UC Davis. UH's first matchup is against host, Sacramento State on Friday, March 9 at 11:00 am HT at the Sacramento State Tennis Courts. The other half of the teams will start at UC Davis' Marya Welch Tennis Center. Teams competing in this week's tournament are Grand Canyon, Hawai'i, Nevada, Sacramento State, Saint Mary's, Seattle, UC Davis and UT Arlington.
 
Hawai'i went 0-3 in last week's Pacific Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M. Three Rainbow Warriors enter the week with two singles wins under their belts. UH's No. 1 Blaz Seric has a 2-6 record with his most recent win coming in dominant straight-sets last week against Pacific's Tadiwa Chinamo, 6-1, 6-1. UH's Tristan Martin won both of his No. 6 matches earlier against two different opponents from Texas Tech. He has played his last three matches on the No. 3 court. Lucas Labrunie has notched wins on both the NO. 3 and No. 4 courts. Last week he came back to edge out San Francisco's Oliver Poysti in three sets, 6-2, 3-6, 7-5.
