Rainbow Wahine Finish Second At Bryson Regatta

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – The University of Hawai'i women's sailing team place second at the Bryson Women's Intersectional held Feb. 10-11 in Northern California. Host Stanford captured the regatta with a total of 124 points.

UH finished 49 points off the pace with 173. Six schools participated with a total of 16 races completed over the weekend. The Rainbow Wahine were only three points out of first after Day 1 and were in contention until late in the regatta. However, both UH boats were unable to finish the last race due to gusty conditions as the Rainbow Wahine settled for runner-up. Caitlin Schadt and Annika Garrett skippered for the Rainbow Wahine, and were joined by Gianna Bailey, Megan Lucas, Danielle Ahir, and Jessica Lawler.

Up next for the Rainbow Wahine is the Dellenbaugh Women's Intersectional in Cranston, Rhode Island, March 31-April 1.
