HONOLULU—University of Hawai'i softball fans will get their first glimpse of the 2019 squad as it hosts its annual Kama'aina Fall Classic. This year, the three-day tournament will run from Friday, Nov. 9-Sunday, Nov. 11 featuring Chaminade, Antelope Valley, and Fullerton College. All games will be played at the Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium.
The Rainbow Wahine will feature 24 players on its roster—including five newcomers plus one redshirt from last season, California-transfer
Tatumn Satow. Hawai'i returns 18 letterwinners who are looking to improve upon last year's 23-27 overall record. Amongst the returnees are redshirt senior pitcher Brittany Hitchcok (who played in just 10 games last season before shutting things down due to an injury) as well as UH's two all-Big West selections, senior third baseman
Nicole Lopez and junior catcher/designated player
Callee Heen.
This week the 'Bows will face the cross-town Chaminade Silverswords; the Antelope Valley Mauraders from Lancaster, Calif.; and the Fullerton College Hornets, a community college in North Orange County's Fullerton, Calif..
