Game Notes:
- Saturday's match-up is the 16th meeting between the teams with Utah State holding a 9-6 advantage. The series is tied at 4-4 in games played in Honolulu.
- The Aggies have won the last four meetings in the series, including all three Mountain West contests. While the teams were members of the Western Athletic Conference, UH won five of the seven contests.
- Thirteen of the 15 all-time meetings have been decided by double-digits, including last season's 38-0 shutout win by USU in Logan, Utah.
- The game caps a stretch of 11 straight weeks played for UH. The Warriors have their only bye of the season next week.
- Hawai'i (6-4, 3-2 MW) suffered its third consecutive defeat last week after a 50-20 loss at Fresno State in Fresno, Calif.
- Utah State (7-1, 4-0) won its seventh straight following a 61-19 blowout of New Mexico and entered the national polls for the first time since 2012, checking in at No. 18 in the Associated Press poll and No. 20 in the coaches poll. At 7-1, USU is off to its best start since 1965.
- UH is 10-42 all-time versus nationally ranked teams, including 9-25 at home. The Warriors have lost their last nine games versus nationally ranked teams with their last win against No. 19 Nevada, Oct. 16, 2010 at Aloha Stadium.
- Under Nick Rolovich, UH is 0-2 versus nationally ranked teams with losses to No. 7 Michigan (66-3) and No. 24 Boise State (52-16) during his inaugural 2016 season.
- The Aggies have scored 40 or more points six times this season, while UH has eclipsed 40 points five times. USU is averaging 49.4 points per game, which ranks third nationally.
- A win on Saturday would give Hawai'i its seventh win and bowl eligibility. UH last appeared in the 2016 Hawai'i Bowl. A win would also secure a winning regular season for the first time since 2010 and would guarantee a non-losing MW record for the second time in three years (4-4 in 2016).
- USU is bowl eligible for the seventh time in the last eight years.
- UH has averaged only 20.5 points and 340.0 yards of total offense in its last four games after starting the season averaging 42.0 points and 495.8 yards of total offense in its first six contests.
- In each of its four losses, the Warriors have failed to score more than 23 points.
