SAN DIEGO, Calif.—The University of Hawai'i women's tennis team played on in the ITA Southwest Regionals held at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego, Calif.
 
in the Round of 16 doubles, UH's duo of Nikola Dolakova and Maayan Sela fell to eighth-seeded Jessica Failla and Anastasia Iamachiki of Pepperdine, 8-4.
 
Fourth-seeded and 51^st-ranked Petra Melounova saw her SW Regional run end in the quarterfinals, falling to fifth-seed Abi Altick of UCLA in straight sets, 6-3, 7-6.
 
In consolation matches played on Saturday, doubles team Michelle Pits and Alzbeta Houbova defeated Evelyn Schmidt and Emma Roennholt of CSUN, 6-4. In singles action, Roxanne Resma swept Taylor Tamblyn of Arizona, 6-2, 6-2. UH's Sela also came away with a win, defeating San Diego's Kati Kukaras in a third set tie-breaker, 1-6, 6-4, 10-3. Pits fell to UCSB's Amit Lev Ari, 6-0, 7-5 while San Diego State's Agustina Rimoldi Godoy took care of Houbova, 6-2, 6-2. Dolakova fell to Rosenholt (CSUN) in a third set tiebreaker, 6-4, 0-6, 10-7.
