MALIBU, Calif.—University of Hawai'i men's tennis player Lucas Labrunie was the last Rainbow Warrior competing in the ITA Southwest Regional on Saturday in Malibu, Calif.
 
Labrunie won his Round of 16 match in the Consolation Draw, in a two-set sweep over Frederick Grant of Grand Canyon, 6-4, 6-2. But in the Consolation Quarterfinals, Labrunie fell to Tom Wright of Arizona State, 6-4, 6-3.
 
The ITA Regional tournament concludes the fall season for the men's tennis team. It will open its 2019 season on Saturday, Jan. 12 against Louisville at the UH Tennis Complex.
