Blaz Seric fell in his Round of 32 match,
Lucas Labrunie advanced in the Consolation Draw.
Seric faced Cal Poly's Josh Ortlip in the Round of 32. Seric actually had a set point, leading 6-5 in the first set tie-breaker. But Ortlip overtook Seric to steal set 1 and then won in two sets, 7-6 (7), 6-3.
In the Consolation Draw, Labrunie took on Wilhelm Saiga of UC Santa Barbara. Labrunie fell in the first set, but came back to win the second set in a tie-breaker. Labrunie then edged Saiga in a third set tie-breaker that decided the match, 10-8. Labrunie will play on Saturday against Frederick Grant of Grand Canyon at 10:00 a.m.
