MALIBU, Calif.—The University of Hawai'i men's tennis team continued action at the ITA Southwest Regionals on Friday. Although Blaz Seric fell in his Round of 32 match, Lucas Labrunie advanced in the Consolation Draw.
 
Seric faced Cal Poly's Josh Ortlip in the Round of 32. Seric actually had a set point, leading 6-5 in the first set tie-breaker. But Ortlip overtook Seric to steal set 1 and then won in two sets, 7-6 (7), 6-3.
 
In the Consolation Draw, Labrunie took on Wilhelm Saiga of UC Santa Barbara. Labrunie fell in the first set, but came back to win the second set in a tie-breaker. Labrunie then edged Saiga in a third set tie-breaker that decided the match, 10-8. Labrunie will play on Saturday against Frederick Grant of Grand Canyon at 10:00 a.m.
