Men’s Volleyball Signee Gage Worsley Named Prep All-American

Complete List

University of Hawai'i men's volleyball signee Gage Worsley, was one of 10 players nationally selected as an American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) High School Senior First Team All-American.

Worsley is a 6-foot-2 libero from Moraga, Calif., who was recently named the No. 5 prospect by VolleyballMag.com in the class of 2017. Worsley's brother, Joe, is a sophomore setter for the Rainbow Warriors.

A total of 20 student-athletes representing 15 high schools from across the country were selected to the AVCA first and second teams.

Considered one of the top libero prospects in the country, Worsley is also a top-ranked beach volleyball player having been selected to the United States beach national team. As a member of the Pacific Rim Volleyball Club, Worsley won a pair of club championships (17s and 18s) and was selected to the all-tournament team at Junior Nationals. His father Roger is the coach of Pacific Rim VC, which became the first Northern California team to capture a national volleyball championship.

Worsley graduated from Campolindo High School in California where he helped the team capture its sixth straight North Coast Section Division II title this season.

In recent years, Jennings Franciskovic (2013) and Patrick Gasman (2015) were selected as AVCA High School Senior All-Americans. This marks the fourth time in the last five years that a UH signee has been selected as a High School All-American.
