LOS ANGELES – The University of Hawai'i track and field squad wrapped up an additional meet among the week's five events, closing out the Bryan Clay Invitational at the Azusa Pacific University Stadium on Friday. In addition, the Rainbow Wahine also got started on events at both the Mt. SAC Relays and Beach Invitational.

Coming in seventh in the pole vault at the Bryan Clay Invitational, Reno, Nev. senior
Natasha Black reached a career-best 12-1.5 (3.72m) vault to log UH's highest finish of the day. Also at Bryan Clay, freshman
Tatiana Desender reached a new personal best of 34-01 (10.39) in the triple jump to finish 47th.

One of the best improvements of the day belonged to Washougal, Wash. freshman
Haleigh Sudbeck, who moved up to No. 6 on the UH all-time performances list with a personal best hammer throw of 169-07 (51.70m), finishing 48th in the first day of action at the Beach Invitational.

Mary Kamau both achieved personal bests in the discus, with Altice coming in 13th at 141-05 (43.10m) and Kamau at 17th and 137-09 (41.98m).

Amanda Bowers turned in UH's top finish of the meet, recording a 10th-place mark in the open pole vault, with a height of 11-11.75 (3.65). Also reaching the 3.65m height, senior
Amber Kozaki was 12th.

The Rainbow Wahine wrap up the week's events on Saturday, concluding the Beach Invitational and the Mt. SAC Relays to close out a five-meet competition week in Southern California.
