Men's Tennis Battles No. 43 Cal Poly On Senior Day

HONOLULU—The University of Hawai'i men's tennis team (1-10, 0-1 Big West)  will play its Senior Day match on Tuesday morning, March 28 at 10:00 am. The Rainbow Warriors will take on Cal Poly in their second Big West Conference match of the season at the UH Tennis Complex. It will be the final home match for UH's two seniors Marcel Chan and Spencer Travalino.

Hawai'i has been battling hard, but coming up just short as of late. Chan is 2-8 in dual matches and last week defeated Elon's Luis Rico at No. 4, 6-2, 6-4 and was just edged out by Washington's Amit Batta, 5-7, 6-7 (3). In doubles, UH's Felix Albert and Chan are coming off a 7-6 (4) win over Fresno State's Patrik Pech and McIntosh. Overall Albert and Chan lead UH with a 2-1 doubles record with all three matches played on the No. 1 court.

No. 43 Cal Poly comes to Honolulu with a 12-5 record for their first conference match of the season. They are led by No. 84 Ben Donovan and No. 122 Corey Pang. The duo of Donovan and Pang are also ranked No. 44 in doubles with a 9-5 record and a six-match win streak.
