HONOLULU – University of Hawai'i track and field was back at work at the Clarence T.C. Ching Athletics Complex bright and early on Saturday, playing host to the Dr. Donnis Thompson Memorial Invitational; the second in the annual Sunrise Series.

Haleigh Sudbeck continued her strong start to her rookie season, reaching a personal best to win the weight throw with a distance of 49-05.0 (15.06m). The throwers also returned good old-fashioned island traditions, bringing the coconut toss back into play. Senior

Alexis Brenzil collected a boost in the long jump, improving .37m over last week in Seattle with a 17-3.25 (5.26m) performance.
