Titan Offense Too Much For Rainbow Wahine Soccer

FULLERTON, Calif. – The Hawai'i soccer team had no answer for Cal State Fullerton's offense on Thursday night, falling 3-0 to the Titans in Big West Conference action.

Cal State Fullerton (11-4-3, 4-2-1 Big West) took a 1-0 lead in the 10th minute when Maribell Morales scored, and added goals in the 23rd minute from Kaycee Hoover and the 73rd minute from Atlanta Primus.

The Titans kept the UH defense on its heels for the majority of the match, out-shooting the Rainbow Wahine 22-2, including 13-0 in shots on goal. Alexis Mata came up with a career-high 10 saves in the game for Hawai'i.

The loss eliminates the Rainbow Wahine (6-9-1, 1-5-1 Big West) from contention for a trip to next week's Big West Tournament, which takes the league's top four teams.

Hawai'i will wrap up the season at UC Riverside on Oct. 29.
