WAIPAHU, O'ahu – The University of Hawai'i soccer team was unable to hold on to a 1-0 lead on Sunday, falling 2-1 to CSUN at Waipi'o Peninsula Soccer Stadium.

Sonest Furtado to give the Rainbow Wahine the 1-0 advantage.
The Matadors, however, responded shortly after. Marissa Favela evened the score at 1-1 in the 60th minute with a header from inside the box. Destinney Duron picked up the assist.
CSUN (7-4-5, 3-1-1 Big West) took the 2-1 lead in the 69th minute when Cynthia Sanchez chipped a shot over UH goalkeeper
Alexis Mata and found the back of the net.
The Matadors out-shot UH (6-8, 1-3 Big West) 18-12 in the game, including 8-6 in shots on goal. The Rainbow Wahine had a 7-5 lead in corner kicks on the contest.
Mata came up with six saves in the game, and stopped a CSUN penalty kick in the lower left corner to keep the game scoreless early in the second half. CSUN goalkeeper Jovani McCaskill made four saves in the win.
The Rainbow Wahine wrap up their final home-stand of the season with Senior Night against Cal Poly on Oct. 22.
