SAN FRANCISCO – The University of Hawai'i Rainbow coed team placed fourth and the Rainbow Wahine placed ninth in the 29th Annual Stoney Burke Intersectional held on Oct. 14-15 in Clipper Cove off of Treasure Island in the San Francisco Bay.
A total of 13 teams representing nine schools competed in the regatta. Due to lack of wind, a total of just 10 races—five each in the A and B divisions—were completed over the weekend. The air were clear and the area was not severely affected by the Northern California fires. USC headed the pack with their coed squad finishing first (30 points) and their women's team placing second (33).
The UH coed team were 18 points off the pace with 48.

Kelly Sojka, and
Danielle Ahir sailed in Division A for the Rainbows while
Cuyler Zimmerman and
Sophia Deming were impressive with a second-place finish in the B Division.
The Rainbow Wahine scored a total of 74 points between Division A and B.
Caitlin Schadt and
Gianna Bailey sailed in the A Division, while
Annika Garrett and
Megan Zamzow competed in the B Division.
Next up, the University of Hawai'I will compete in the PCCSC Fall Dinghy Championships with the women competing in Redwood City on Oct. 28-29 and the coed team in Santa Barbara on Nov. 11 and 12.
