HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i men's basketball team (8-11, 2-4 BWC) concludes its five-game homestand when it hosts UC Santa Barbara (3-15, 1-5 BWC) on Saturday at 7:30 p.m., at the Stan Sheriff Center. The game will part of a Big West doubleheader with the women's team who face Cal Poly beginning at 5 p.m.

The Rainbow Warriors are 2-2 during their current homestand and are looking to bounce back after back-to-back six-point losses to UC Davis and UC Riverside. Wednesday' loss to the Highlanders dropped the 'Bows to seventh place in the Big West standings with a 2-4 record.

The Rainbow Warriors have won three straight against the Gauchos, including last year's 88-76 win in the Big West Tournament semifinals.  Following the game, there will be anÂ

About UCSB:Â The Gauchos are tied for eighth in the BIg West with a 1-5 mark...UCSB has lost three in a row and six of its last seven....UCSB's lone conference win thus far came at home against Cal Poly, 58-53, on Jan. 14.....the Gauchos are led by Gabe Vincent who leads the team at 15.4 ppg and is second in the Big West with 2.7 three-pointers per game...UCSB is 0-8 on the road this year.
'Bow Bits: UH has averaged 82.0 ppg on 48.6 percent shooting from the field and 37.1 percent on three-pointers through the first four games of its current five-game homestand...
Brocke Stepteau has hit 19-of-21 (.905) free throws in conference games for a percentage which ranks him first in Big West games...
Noah Allen is averaging 22.0 ppg and 7.5 rpg during the same stretch, however, he was limited to just eight points on 2-of-7 shooting before fouling out in the final minute in UH's loss to UCR...UH has dropped back-to-back conference home games for the first time since joining the Big West...three of UH's last five opponents have shot 50 percent or better...only one opponent had shot better than 50 percent in its previous 42 games dating back to the start of the 2015-16 season...Big West opponents are attempting an average of 27.3 free throws per game...in non-conference play, opponents averaged 18.5 free throw attempts.
