Big West Beach Volleyball Championships Bracket HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. – The No. 5 University of Hawai'i Rainbow Wahine beach volleyball (13-8) team heads to Southern California in pursuit of the inaugural Big West Beach Volleyball Championship. UH also looks to strengthen postseason chances at the conference tournament, Friday-Saturday (April 29-30) at the Beach Boulevard Courts.

For the 'SandBows', the tournament begins at 12:00 p.m. PT (9:00 a.m. HT) on Friday, April 29, as UH earned the top seed and the first-round bye. The SandBows will meet the winner of the 9:00 a.m. PT dual match between fifth-seeded Cal Poly (6-9) and fourth-seeded CSU Bakersfield (4-12).

The winner of the noon quarterfinal match will move on to Saturday's semifinal against the winner between second seed Long Beach State (9-10) and either Sacramento State (1-19) or CSUN (6-12).

The loser of the quarterfinal will meet the loser between SSU and CSUN at 3 p.m. PT (12:00 p.m. HT) on Friday, in the consolation bracket of the double-elimination tournament.

The tournament championship final is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. PT (10:30 a.m. HT) on Saturday, crowning the first-ever Big West Champion. A victory for the Rainbow Wahine would provide an added boost in their bid to be part of the field of teams at the inaugural NCAA Beach Volleyball Championships, May 5-8 in Gulf Shores, Ala.
