Senior Video (Courtesy of OCSports)Senior Night Ceremony Highlights (H-TV)HONOLULU - The University of Hawai'i women's basketball team clinched the Big West Conference Tournament's No. 2 seed with a convincing 68-47 win over Cal Poly in the regular season finale, Saturday night, at the Stan Sheriff Center.
With the win, the Rainbow Wahine (19-10, 12-4 BWC) earned a double bye straight to the semifinals in next week's tournament at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif. After starting 3-3 in Big West play, UH finished the regular season winning nine of its last 10.
The victory was especially sweet for five Rainbow Wahine seniors -
Destiny King,
Ashleigh Karaitiana,
Marissa Wimbley,
Kalei Adolpho, and
Connie Morris - and junior
Brianna Kennedy who were honored during the traditional Senior Night ceremony following the game. Over the past four seasons, the senior class appeared in three postseason tournaments and accumulated 76 wins.
All five seniors contributed to the win, led by King who posted nine points and a team-high 12 rebounds. Morris added nine points and three boards while Wimbley had eight points and three rebounds. Karaitiana posted four points, three assists, and two rebounds and Adolpho pulled down three rebounds. Kennedy, who will forgo her final year of eligibility, finished with four points and two rebounds.

Megan Huff each scored 11 points to lead Hawai'i.
Amanda Lovely led the Mustangs (14-15, 7-9 Big West) with eight points.
The Rainbow Wahine took control of the game in the first quarter, out-scoring Cal Poly, 19-8, while holding the Mustangs to 11.1 percent shooting. The lead ballooned to 15 at the half after UH scored the final eight points of the second quarter for a 31-16 lead.
Hawai'i blew it wide open with an 11-2 run to start the third quarter and built a 26-point lead after
Megan Huff beat the third quarter buzzer with a three-pointer, giving the Rainbow Wahine a 51-25 advantage entering the final period.
UH finished 7-1 in conference home games with its lone loss to Big West regular season champion UC Riverside, who posted a perfect 16-0 conference mark and enters next week's tournament as the No. 1 seed.
