LAS VEGAS, Nev.—The University of Hawai'i men's tennis team fell to UNLV on the road, 7-0 on Friday at the Fertitta Tennis Complex in Las Vegas, Nev.
The Rebels captured the doubles point, winning on courts No. 1 and 3 with Jakob Amilon and Ruben Alberts (UNLV) defeating UH's
Felix Albert and
Marcel Chan on the No. 1 court, 6-3. UNLV's No. 3 duo of Evaldo Neto and Adam Gage-Brown knocked of
Igor Kolaric and
Spencer Travalino, 6-2 to capture the point.
In singles, UNLV swept all six matches.
Ruben Blattner fell by a break in the first set to Charlie Croxforf, 7-5 but lost the second set, 6-0 at No. 6. Kolaric and Adam Gage-Brown split the first two sets, but Gage-Brown prevailed in a hard fought tie-breaker, 10-8.
The Rainbow Warriors continue their roadtrip in Las Vegas and will face Loyola Marymount on Saturday at UNLV.
