The Rainbow Warriors captured the doubles point, to begin the day up 1-0. Hawai'i's No. 1 pair of
Felix Albert and
Kai Wehnelt edged out USF's Nils Skajaa and Vasco Valverde, 6-4, and UH's No. 3 team of
Marcel Chan and
Nikolai Storch held off USF's Thomas Takemoto and Ryan Marker by a tie-breaker, 7-6 (2) to secure the doubles point for the 'Bows.
In singles however, the Dons won four of five completed singles matches. UH's Wehnelt was the lone Rainbow Warrior to earn a win. Wehnelt won in straight sets over Takemoro, 6-2, 6-4 on the No. 2 court. Blattner forced his match against Maguire into a third set, but fell in three, 6-1, 4-6, 6-3. UH's No. 1
Felix Albert was winning his match 7-6, 4-3 against Nils Skajaa, but their match went unfinished.
The Rainbow Warriors continue their busy week facing Utah on Sunday at 12:00 pm and BYU on Monday morning at 10:00 am.
