st adidas/Steve Scott Invitational Friday at Anteater Stadium
Freshman
Montana Martinez continued her impressive rookie season by placing second in the 3000m steeplechase with a PR time of 11:07.63. That mark puts her No. 2 on UH's all-time list just shy of the school record of 11:06.35 set by Robin McRobbie in 2003.
Already this season, Martinez has three Big West Championship qualifying marks in the 3000mSC, 5000m and 10,000m.
Another Rainbow Wahine who is having a stellar season is senior thrower
Alex Porlier Langlois, who threw a PR in the hammer throw to place ninth. The St-Cesaire, Quebec native posted a mark of 161-0 (49.07m), nearly five and a half feet farther than her previous best.
Sophomore
Caitlyn Foss ran a personal best in the 5000-meters. Her time of 18:40.02 was 26 seconds faster than her previous PR and placed 24
th in the race.
The meet continues on Saturday with the rest of the Rainbow Wahine in action.
