Women's Sailing Takes Fourth At PCCSC Championships

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The University of Hawai'i women's sailing team finished fourth at the PCCSC Women's Championship regatta on Sunday afternoon. UH advances to the ICSA Sperry Intercollegiate Sailing Association Women's Semifinals, May 25-26 at the New York Yacht Club-Harbour Court.

The Rainbow Wahine sailed among 12 different collegiate squads and finished with 56 points for a fourth-place finish. Stanford won the Charley Dole Women's Conference Championship Trophy with 16 points, while UC Santa Barbara and Santa Clara finished in second and third, respectively.

The UH B Division team of Caitlin Schadt, Katrina Berry and Madeline Anzivino  led the Rainbow Wahine finishing fourth with a score of 56 with Schadt and Berry winning two out of 12 races.

Louise Currie along with Cole Brauer and Elizabeth Boystak led the Rainbow Wahine A Division to a sixth-place finish (71 points) after winning the head-to-head tie-breaker over Cal Poly.

The 'Bows' coed sailing team heads to the PCCSC Team/Dinghy Race, May 1-3 in Stanford, Calif.
